Central Highlands residents are set to see maintenance and facility upgrades at some of the regions aquatic centres in line with results from recent community survey.
With aquatic centres across the region beginning to reopen from next month, council will continue to work with pool managers to implement changes at all facilities, said General Manager Communities, John McDougall.
‘It was great to see how much the continued improvement of our aquatic centre facilities means to the community with more than 600 responses collected in the survey,’ McDougall said.
‘As the first survey of its kind, this feedback has created a baseline for us to work with each facilities manager to improve upon.
‘As a first step, we will be using this season to collect data on pool usage and review reporting systems.
‘I encourage the community to keep an eye out for any improvements at their local facilities and to provide feedback when the survey is released early next year to assist with continuous improvement.’
Central Highlands Aquatic Centres will begin reopening from Monday 9 August 2021.
