Tree of Life: Seniors Music and Movement Program

Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 10am – 12pm If you’ve always wanted to do some improvised dance or improvised music making Council has a free workshop program for you. Tree of Life: Seniors Music and Movement Program is a four-week workshop program combining exercises in meditation, music-making and movement facilitated by a collective of highly skilled and experienced teaching artists. The program will be led by Dr Anthony Garcia, the co-founder and artistic director of Sounds Across Oceans. He is accomplished guitarist, composer, educator and producer dedicated to building bridges between cultures and communities through innovative arts programming. Dancers - no prior knowledge required Musicians - rudimentary or intermediate knowledge of how to play an instrument is encouraged. All styles and sounds welcome. The workshops are designed for participants to meet for two hours a week across four concurrent weeks and it is recommended that you are able to come to all sessions. The workshops will be at Seven Hills Theatre and Community Hub Wednesdays 26 May, 2, 9 and 16 June 2021, 10am-12pm.
