Rhyme Time Project Assistant (Casual)

Mareeba Shire Council is looking for a casual Rhyme Time Project Assistant to plan and deliver grant-funded literacy programming for babies at various locations throughout the Shire.  The position is responsible for planning the programming and delivering the sessions for a variety of literacy-based programs including Rhyme Time and Splash and Sing.

Rhyme Time is a music and rhyme-based literacy program for babies and is delivered at Kuranda Library, Mareeba Library, Dimbulah Limited Hours Child Care, Julatten Community Centre and other venues on request.  Splash and Sing is a pool-based session and is delivered at Dimbulah Pool and potentially Mareeba Pool.

The position also involves administrative duties, including the collection of statistics associated with the acquittal of the grant for the State Library of Queensland funding.

Benefits of this position:

Casual position LGOA Level 1 – $33.29 per hour (includes 25% casual loading)
