Macedon Ranges residents to become Australian citizens

Council is pleased to invite nine new citizens to be officially welcomed in a citizenship ceremony held at Kyneton Town Hall on Tuesday 20 April.

Our new citizens originate from the United Kingdom, India, Taiwan, France, Netherlands, Thailand and Cambodia.

At the ceremony each new citizen will be given:

a certificate of Australian citizenship an Australian lapel pin an Australian native plant an Australian flag.

The Kyneton Municipal Band will provide entertainment on the evening. Due to COVIDSafe protocols, a limited number of family and friends will be invited to attend.

For this same reason, newspaper photographers will be unable to attend as in previous years. Council is not able to provide photographs of the ceremony, however can pass requests for interviews on to new citizens.
