Wyndham City 2 Mar 2021

Wyndham City’s West End Experience is back for you to enjoy over the long weekend!

The western end of Watton Street in Werribee will again be transformed into a pop-up dining precinct with 15 different restaurants, cafes and bars providing residents with a smorgasbord of outdoor dining options.

From 5 – 8 March, you can enjoy long lunches and alfresco dining under the stars!

The event follows the success of the first two and we cannot wait for everyone to join us over the four-day event.

Wyndham City’s Creative City Portfolio holder Cr Marcel Mahfoud said Wyndham City, with support from State Government funding and the Business and Property Owner Associations is very keen to provide the community affordable and accessible opportunities to start socialising, enjoying entertainment and supporting local businesses.

“The West End Experience has proved very popular. Even with social distancing we had over 2,300 attend the first event in December and over 1,600 attend the second event in January,” Cr Marcel Mahfoud said.

“This event is another strategic example of delivering on the Wyndham 2040 Vision where the Community told us they wanted a safe, vibrant evening economy that supports local jobs.”

“We are also thrilled that this long weekend event has come around now, many businesses were hit hard by the last-minute cancellation of the February West End Experience event due to the five-day lockdown. So, having four full days to have people come down and support them has them looking forward to the long weekend!”

Adrian from AGES Pizza said after the January West End Experience: “It was really good, the weather let us all down on the Friday night but the Saturday and Sunday more than made up for it, I can’t sing it’s praises enough.”

“Also due to the cancellation, many of the additional activations that were planned for February have been rolled over to the March event. The Piano Bar has been extended, so you will be able to enjoy some amazing tunes under the stars and there will be a free Family Movie Night to watch the Trolls World Tour. This event is one not to be missed!” Cr Marcel Mahfoud added.

The March West End Experience will again have a diverse range of cuisines from burgers and pizza, pub classics, cheesecake to Thai, Indonesian, Filipino and Indian.

Each venue has their own outdoor seating area that will be available for bookings with a smaller area for walk-up dining. QR Code check-ins will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety.

Take advantage of the warm summer weather and walk or bike ride to enjoy the West End Experience. Parking is also available with 202 car parks right next door.
