Road resurfacing works on the Ridgley Highway

The Tasmanian Government is carrying out essential maintenance work on the Ridgley Highway between Metaira Road and West Ridgley Road from Friday 19 February 2021.

The Department of State Growth will carry out the work, which includes microsurfacing and line marking.

Below is a map to show the location of the project.

Works will occur between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm from Friday, 19 February 2021 to Sunday, 21 February 2021 and expect to completed the work in 3 days, weather permitting.

How will the work affect you? The works involve the use of machinery which generate some noise.

Traffic changes There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the safety of workers and road users.  

Lane closures and a reduced speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times. Motorists should allow up to 15 minutes extra travel time during this work. Please keep to speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.
