52227 - Senior Irrigation System Maintainer, Moranbah

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Senior Irrigation System Maintainer to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Moranbah. The position sits within our Parks and Recreation Department who are collectively responsible for maintenance of all parks, gardens and reserves throughout the Isaac Regional Council. Reporting to the Team Leader, this position is responsible for carrying out irrigation system repairs, maintenance and upgrades at community usage areas including sportsgrounds, parks, open space and cemeteries for Landcare and Open Space Services.

The successful candidate will have: 

Extensive experience (minimum five years) in a similar role at a senior capacity Proven sound knowledge of, and experience with, various irrigation system and components including, but not limited to: dripper systems, rotor systems, irrigation pipes, valves, controllers, filtration systems Experience working with and monitoring AC and DC system controllers Knowledge and use of travelling irrigators, sucker vac machine and pumps Sound computer knowledge Sound literacy and numeracy skills An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety within the work environment Personal initiative, motivation and drive, with demonstrated ability to work autonomously to achieve work outcomes Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams Holds qualifications relevant to irrigation maintenance (highly regarded)

For this position we offer:

Salary $54,467.87 per annum + allowances including Locality Allowance Construction Workers Allowance and more! Nominally 76 hours per fortnight 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading 12% super in accordance with Council policy Nine-day fortnight in accordance with Council policy
