Learn how to make wreaths this Christmas

Women within the Gannawarra Shire are invited to take part in a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop, occurring on the lawns of the Cohuna Library on Saturday, 5 December from 10.30am.

The Gannawarra Library Service has partnered with Northern District Community Health’s Women in the Warra program for this workshop,

“Thanks to funding from the Gannawarra Community Resilience Grants Program, Zoe McNair of Zoe’s Little Flower Farm will lead a special morning event in which participants will create a Christmas wreath, made from beautiful native flora,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“Women over the age of 16 are encouraged to book early for this one-off event, with places to fill quickly.”

Places cost $5 per person, which is payable on the day, with bookings to be made by phoning the Cohuna Library on (03) 5456 2124 or Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on (03) 5452 1546.

“Participants will be encouraged to keep 1.5 metres apart and wear a face mark throughout the event,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“Organisations that make up the Gannawarra Local Agency Meeting are also proud to support this event which ties in with the 5 Ways to Wellbeing theme of ‘keep learning’.”
