About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Community Resilience Coordinator to join Isaac Regional Council's Planning, Environment & Community Services (PECS) Directorate. The Coordinator will work with the Engaged Communities Department to play a significant role together with other departments in delivering Council’s COVID-19 Strategic Recovery Plan.

This newly created role will assist the Manager Engaged Communities with developing and leading the delivery of community development initiatives regionwide which build community capacity, confidence and resilience to reactivate a rich community life of COVID-safe events across the region.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Certification in community development and/or community engagement and/or other qualifications and demonstrated experience in a relevant community-based role. Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of community engagement programs, with comprehensive understanding of principles and methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of community development and disaster recovery principles, practices, standards, and related disciplines and awareness of contemporary trends and issues and their application and impact highly desirable. Blue Card from the Commission for Children, Young People and Child Guardian, or ability to obtain.

What we are offering:

Salary $83,917.88 - $91,405.36 per annum plus allowances; Two (2) year fixed-term contract; Work vehicle (Commuter use) 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading; 12% super in accordance with Council Policy; Based in the Isaac Region.​​​​​​​
