Grab your bat and ball, the Brighton Beach Oval cricket nets have reopened to practice your skills.

We’ve replaced the old worn-out nets with a four-bay fully enclosed synthetic wicket to increase safety and enjoyment at the practice facility.

We’ve also installed matting around the batter and reinforced the nets to protect fencing and ensure cricket balls remain safely within the structure.

These upgrade works meets Australian Standards and Cricket Victoria requirements and ensure the facility is ready for the summer cricket season, COVID-19 restrictions permitting.

Brighton Beach Oval is home to Brighton Cricket Club, which fields teams at the highest level of competition in Bayside, the VSDCA, and instils a love for the game in their more than 20 junior teams.

Before visiting and while enjoying the facility, please ensure you understand and follow the current COVID-19 restrictions and guidance, which can be viewed here.
