Toowoomba artist Roslyn Hartwig in October unveils a new body of work, Art as Lifelong Journey, at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery.

The exhibition is on display from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, November 1, 2020.

Hartwig said her solo exhibition was the launch of a new direction in her artistic practice.

The artist said in order to see where she was going, she has had to look back.

“My painting journey started in my school years and has continually progressed throughout my life,” she said.

“The paintings in this exhibition are from the new, consolidated direction I find myself heading and demonstrate the development of my watercolour paintings arts practice.”

The new work examines memory and the essence of landscape.

Roslyn Hartwig lives and creates her work in the Toowoomba Region and has been a practising artist for more than 20 years.
