Plans unveiled for CBD West site

The developer of CBD West, the former pool site, has unveiled plans for the city centre site.
Criterion Property Group, a Sydney-based real estate investment and development company, has a vision for the site that links the existing former railway precinct to a community courtyard as the focus for its development.
The development will be known as The Quarter, based on the Cambridge definition of “an area of town where a particular group of people live or work or where a particular activity happens”.
Key features of the site include complementary pedestrian and vehicle flow and a green, landscaped “spine”.
The development will include residential, retail and office space as well as basement and on-site parking.
The complete development features three buildings up to three levels.
The residential component will include large, open plan, north-facing apartments fronting Elgin Boulevard.
A café and produce store is earmarked for the ground-floor.
Following detailed design, construction is set to begin in spring 2021.
