Posted on July 29, 2020

Get in early and nominate your local hero for the 2021 Central Highlands Regional Council Australia Day Awards. Nominations are open from 1 August to 31 October 2020.

Mayor Kerry Hayes said this year’s nominations may be different but no less valuable and important.

‘Australia Day Awards are all about thanking those people who make our communities a better place – by the work they do, the encouragement they offer or simply the passion they show,’ Mayor Hayes said.

‘We have reviewed our selection criteria and application process to make it easier, with tips on how to nominate.

‘I encourage everyone to think about who they might like to thank for making a significant contribution, being an inspirational role model or improving the economic, social and cultural aspects of our communities.

‘If you can think of someone, head to our website to tell us their story.’
