PUBLIC EXHIBITION

A draft Development Plan has been prepared for land abutting the eastern side of McEdward Street Cabarita, south of the adjacent rail line and is available for comment until 31 July 2020.

Mildura Planning Scheme Amendment C89 rezoned land within Cabarita to Low Density Residential Zone and applied Development Plan Overlay 5 (DPO 5) to the land. In accordance with DPO 5, the Draft Development Plan April 2020 has been prepared to guide the form and conditions of future development of the land.

The Development Plan proposes 39 lots of approximately 4000sqm each and provides for public access through to a newly formatted Robertson Street as a lower level road, primarily to encourage walking along the Lake Hawthorn precinct and make connection with existing walkways.

Any person/s wishing to comment or provide feedback on this matter must lodge a written submission with Council. All submissions should include a contact name, residential and postal address in order to receive a written response.

Submissions provided are considered public documents and issues/matters raised therein (including authorship) may be reported to Council in an open Council meeting Agenda. Enquiries regarding confidential submissions may be directed to the Coordinator Strategic Planning on (03) 5018 8100.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 31 July 2020.
