Gympie Regional Libraries have re-commenced on-site access to all branches across the region.

These new measures are in association with the Queensland Government’s roadmap to easing COVID-19 restrictions.

These changes now allow patrons to access computers and printing facilities, with a maximum time limit of 30 minutes per customer.

The local history room will also be available from Wednesday to Friday by appointment only.

Gympie Regional Council Community Learning and Engagement Manager, Rachel Lethem, says to keep library staff and residents safe, social distancing and hygiene guidelines will be enforced.

“When visiting the libraries, customers will notice some things have changed and these changes are to make sure we keep our community safe.”

“All of the libraries across the region now have floor markers to assist with social distancing, hand sanitiser for all patrons to use, and there are limits to the number of customers allowed in each library at any one time,” she said.
