Sunday, June 28, 2020, 5:30 – 10pm Council will project Nicola Scott’s artwork Untitled onto the William Jolly Bridge from 24–28 June 2020, nightly. Nicola Scott is a Brisbane-based, young experimental painter in the first 10 years of her practice, Scott continually pushes her work to explore new visual territory. She explores experiences of perception through painting resulting in a playful study of the ways in which we experience and interpret positive and negative space, colour and form, depth and surface. Nicola Scott is a Brisbane-based emerging artist and Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours, 1st Class) graduate of the Queensland College of Art. In 2013 she was a finalist in the GAS: Graduate Art Show and Espresso Garage Awards at Griffith University Art Gallery, Brisbane. She has since exhibited widely at ARIs locally and interstate, and recently completed studio residencies at Outer Space ARI in Brisbane in 2018, and at Visual Bulk art space in Hobart in 2017.
