COVID-19 TESTING | AVAILABLE FOR ALL NORTH WEST RESIDENTS
Central Coast Council 24 Apr 2020

Testing criteria for coronavirus is different in the North West because of the risk of community transmission. The criteria applies to anyone in the North West, or anyone who has spent time in the North West in the 14 days before their symptoms started.

If you feel like you have a fever, runny nose, cough, sore/itchy throat or shortness of breath, call your GP or the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 as you need to be tested for COVID-19.

Testing is only available with a referral from a GP or the Public Health Hotline 1800 671 738.

In the North West region, coronavirus respiratory clinics are located in Burnie and Latrobe.  If there is not a testing clinic in your local area, you can travel to another town or outside your municipality for testing purposes. After being tested, you will need to quarantine at home until you receive your test results.
