Councillors and the CEO this afternoon (31 March) decided to postpone next Tuesday’s 7 April Council meeting due to restrictions on gatherings and social distancing until further notice as a result of the Coronavirus emergency.
While Council live streams its meetings to the public, this alone does not adhere to meeting requirements.
It was also decided that planned visits to the Omeo Region (21 April) and Orbost district (2 June) for Council meetings will be rescheduled.
These meetings will now be held in the Corporate Centre, Bairnsdale, on the dates listed.
The CEO, in collaboration with the Mayor and Councillors, may change the date, time and place of any Council meeting that has been determined previously and must give public notice as soon as practicable.
