Have your say on Council's performance

Residents will have their chance to assess the performance of Gannawarra Shire Council during February.

Households within the municipality may receive a phone call from an independent market research agency from Monday, 10 February, for a period of up to three weeks.

National Field Services has been commissioned to conduct the annual Community Satisfaction Survey, with results to assist Council with how it can improve its efforts in serving the community.

“The Community Satisfaction Survey has been designed to assess the performance of Council across a range of measures and to seek insights into ways to provide improved or more effective service delivery to our residents,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.

National Field Services will conduct 400 interviews among a representative sample of residents aged 18 years and over, with participants asked to provide their feedback on Council’s overall performance, community consultation, sealed local road network, customer service, decision making, advocacy efforts and overall Council performance.

“Details and responses provided by participants are confidential. Only the overall results are shared with Council, which assists us in identifying areas for improvement, as well as celebrating the areas where Council performs well above the average for a Small Rural Shire and municipalities across Victoria,” Mayor Learmonth said.

“Council appreciates the time taken by those who choose to take part in providing their valuable feedback.”

Anyone who has any queries about the Community Satisfaction Survey is encouraged to contact Council on (03) 5450 9333.
