Gympie Regional Council is inviting not-for-profit community organisations to participate in an upcoming grants information session.

The free event will be held on Wednesday 29 January from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Gympie Civic Centre, 32 Mellor Street, Gympie.

Council’s community assistance grants provide funding to not-for-profit community organisations to deliver projects that enhance the social, cultural and community development of the region.

The information session will enable organisations to network with other community organisations, discuss their project with grant officers, and learn how to manage their grant after approval.

The previous round of grants funded 26 community projects valued at $88,644 that helped community organisations purchase essential equipment, host community events and foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment for the community.

Light supper will be provided.

Grant applications for Round Two open 3 February and close 16 March 2020.
