Junior Library Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for two Junior Library Assistants to join our Mareeba Branch team. The position provides customer service to users of the Mareeba library and assists with all functions of the library. This includes providing reader and reference services support and basic assistance in the use of technology. The role also assists with the delivery of library programs and activities that enthusiastically promote reading, literacy and life-long learning.

These positions are offered to students who are currently attending high school so that they can learn and get experience working in a library. When you leave school, another student will be given the opportunity to take over the role. More information about the position can be found in the position description.

Casual position (3 hours per fortnight on Saturdays from 8.45am to noon, plus the opportunity for additional hours during school holidays if required) Junior wages apply Up to 9.5% superannuation 5 weeks annual leave pro rata
