Thomas Street playground consultation report

Big thanks to everyone who contributed their ideas, gave feedback and commented on all the preparatory stages for developing a design for the new Thomas Street playground.

A special shout out to the Community Reference Group who gave up their time to attend meetings, respectfully debate issues and provide constructive feedback to the playground designer to assist him in forming and shaping the draft plan.

A summary consultation report is now available to read and download from our website.

The next stage is to refine some elements based on the most recent feedback and then work up the final detailed design and documentation. Council will then tender for a contractor to undertake the demolition of the old playground and construct the new playground. It is expected that construction will commence in the second half of 2020 and be completed by early 2021.
