Public Notice Walshes Road, Woodend  Proposed minor road deviation and land exchange between adjoining land owner and Council

Local Government Act 1989, Sections 189, 204, 206, 207A, 207B, 223 & Clause 2 of Schedule 10

Notice is hereby given that the Council, pursuant to its powers under the Local Government Act 1989, intends to rectify an historical minor deviation of Walshes Road Woodend onto private land (within Lot 1 PS446092E – Volume 10636 Folio 751) and exchange part of Council land (Lot 1 TP879826E – Volume 6019 Folio 750) and declare parts as a public road.

The deviation will be declared a public highway under Section 204 of the Act and will be part of Walshes Road. The land acquired by the Council shown hatched on the plan will be exchanged by the Council under Section 189 of the Act for the portion of land owned by the Council shown cross hatched on the plan. The balance of Lot 1 on TP 879826E will be retained by Council and declared a road.

A person has the right to make a written submission to the Council under Section 223 of the Act on the above proposal and may request in the submission to appear in person (or be represented by a person named in the submission) at a meeting to be held on 16 October 2019 at the Gisborne Administration Centre.

Submissions may be posted to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 151, Kyneton 3444, emailed to [email protected], or handed in at the Kyneton Administration Centre, the Gisborne Administration Centre or the Romsey or Woodend Service Centres.

Submissions are to be received by no later than Wednesday 2 October 2019 at 5pm.
