Waste Management Services Survey
Sorell Council 4 Sep 2019
Council is currently running a community survey about our waste management services.

We want to know your views on our current services and what future services might be required by our community.

Your feedback will help inform our planning for future waste management services.

Despite the recent reporting in the media, SKM, the business that accepts our recycling, is operating as usual. They have their own markets for the recycling they take from southern Tasmanian Councils.

Each year Council spends $1.5 million on waste management services. In 2018/2019 our waste management services collected 2760 tonnes from kerbside rubbish collection, 1083 tonnes from kerbside recycling collection, 300 tonnes from hard waste collections and 321 tonnes from kerbside green waste collections. This is a significant amount of waste and we want to ensure we are being efficient in our service in line with our community’s needs.

The survey will take about 6 minutes of your time and can be accessed by clicking the link below.–

If you can’t complete the survey online, you can do it in person at the Council Offices (47 Cole street, Sorell) via iPad or hard copy form.

We appreciate your feedback and input!
