Around 120 people attended a concert in the Innisfail Shire Hall to hear former local Katisha Adelaide perform before a home-town audience on Thursday (July 4).

Event coordinator Kim Agli said it was great to see so many young people attend and to sit spellbound by the performance for more than an hour.

Katisha, who has just graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane, asked attendees for only a gold coin donation.

The violinist, looping artist, singer and multi-instrumentalist thrives on the non-traditional and has performed around the world.

Ms Agli said Ms Adelaide had expressed a wish to return to Innisfail to present an evening performance at The Con theatre where she performed as a young student.
