City of Unley 16 Apr 2019
Following an evening of live pitches in front of a judging panel, the City for Unley is proud to announce the winners of the 2019 Fish Tank competition.

1st prize in the 12 to 17-year category went to the ‘Offolio Zon’ team. Aria, Lucy, Parnia and Adem are winners for their product pitch of an iPhone phone case with inbuilt solar panels for charging.

2nd prize in the 12 to 17-year category went to the ‘Living on the Edge’ team. Anannya and Elise pitched their initiative of utilising blank walls in Unley by installing living murals made from colourful potted plants.

In the 18 to 25-year category, 1st prize went to ‘Local Threads’. James and Kenji inspired the judges with their online website dedicated to giving small Australian clothing brands a platform to sell their unseen fashion.

2nd prize in the 18 to 25-year category, went to the creator of ‘Lycan Soap’. Charlie’s hand-made medicinal soap and shampoo bars are for both people and animals. Low eco-impact and versatility were key considerations for Charlie when developing his products.

Thanks to our sponsors Business SA and Rotary Club of Unley for their valued support. Winners will enjoy prizes including a Futurepreneurs Launchpad mentoring package, workshop and mentoring support from Business SA SAYES and seed money of up to $500 to further develop their business.

Thank you to all entrants and congratulations to the finalists who were invited to pitch their Fish Tank ideas to a live audience last week. It’s wonderful to see that entrepreneurship is alive and well among Unley’s youth!
