Maternal and Child Health services at Ringwood North MCH centre will be temporarily relocated while building renovations take place.

Council will be undertaking renovation works to the Ringwood North Maternal and Child Health Centre, which will include replastering and repainting the building.

Councillor Nora Lamont said all MCH appointments would be relocated to two other Council Maternal and Child Health centres while works are in progress.

“Families will be contacted directly via text message with the details of their rescheduled appointment, so there is no need to be concerned about missing a consultation session,” Cr Lamont said.

The Ringwood North MCH centre will reopen on Monday 3 June 2019.

Council’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) service offers families information, support and advice in caring for their child as they continue to grow and develop.

Council’s seven MCH centres and nurses are also experienced in providing comprehensive developmental assessments for children from birth to school age.

“The MCH team would like to remind parents of the importance of maternal and child health visits when their child is 18 months, two years and three-and-a-half years old. These appointments provide physical and developmental checks and can assist parents with advice on kinder and school readiness,” Cr Lamont said.
