Campaspe Shire Council has expanded its online services, with requests for service now available online.

Mayor, Cr Adrian Weston said customers have many different needs and expectations with an increasing expectation to access services when and where it suits them. The ability to lodge a request online addresses this need.

“Rather than waiting for our offices to open, customers can lodge a request at any time, to then be actioned,” Cr Weston said.

“If an issue with a road is noticed, the customer can log the request straight away; if a waste service for a new house is needed, the customer can lodge the request, and the list goes on.”

With replacement of council’s IT systems a few years ago, a number of improvements to online services have been made. Customers can pay a variety of accounts online using council’s secure online system, even paying multiple accounts in the one transaction.

“This has seen an increase in online payments, as well as customers continuing to use other online payment methods available, such as BPay,” added the Mayor.

“It’s about providing the customer with a choice and links in with the vision from our recently adopted Customer First Strategy - providing a customer service experience that is effortless, accurate and friendly.”

The online system captures requests for waste, roads, rates, immunisation services, public toilets and many other areas, as well as general requests.

Residents can also go online to look at planning applications currently being advertised or to search the planning register for completed applications.

To lodge an online request, customers need to visit council’s website and go to ‘I want to… lodge an online request’.
