Big day today as our new look council met for the first time and elected our new Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Congratulations to Mayor Paul Simmons (pictured centre) and Deputy Mayor Jeff (Tank) Arthur (second from right), being elected unopposed to their positions. It’s an exciting time for our council, with five new members with a vision for change joining four returning members offering stability and experience. Also great to see an interested gallery taking the time to see this democratic process take place, thank you for coming along. (Nat)
