Saturday, December 1 – Wednesday, December 5, 2018 In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of World AIDS Day, Brisbane City Council will be projecting Red Ribbon Mandalas by Sahil Kitchell on to the William Jolly Bridge from Saturday 1 December to Wednesday 5th December. Sahil Kitchell is a graphic designer and artist who has worked with World AIDS Day for 8 years. Ribbon Mandalas re-invents the iconic red ribbon of World AIDS Day, transforming it from a lone ribbon to a more celebratory design of multiple ribbons side by side. Symbolising the supportive community, we are building on, so that no one is alone in the struggle with HIV/AIDS. We can now look forward to a time when we are free of stigma and discrimination and celebrate the leaps we have made since the first World AIDS Day 30 years ago. World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year.  It raises awareness across the world and in the community about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS.  Artwork: Red Ribbon Mandalas 2018 by Sahil Kitchell (Digital image).
