Published on 30 October 2018

Cinema Pop Up is coming to Warragul this December with four free outdoor screenings of family friendly movies to enjoy under the stars.

This unique outdoor cinema experience will run for four nights only, from Thursday 13 December up to and including Sunday 16 December at Warragul’s Civic Park.

The event series will feature the following screenings:

Thursday 13 December: Elf Friday 14 December: Boss Baby Saturday 15 December: Captain America – Civil War Sunday 16 December: Coco

Tickets are limited and available for free only when booking online. Tickets will be available for purchase at the gate from $10 for adults and $5 for children. Gates open from 7.00pm.

VIP reserved seating is available by booking a bean bed only for $15 or $20 at the gate.

Movie-goers are permitted to bring their own food with the option to purchase frozen drinks, popcorn, ice creams and other snacks from the candy bar. BYO alcohol is not permitted; however, it is a licenced event so drinks are available for purchase at the bar to ensure responsible service and consumption of alcohol.

Attendees are encouraged to come along early, get a good spot, and set up with blankets and cushions before the movie kicks off.

Quotes attributable to Cinema Pop Up Director Kate Hardwick

“We’re excited to bring an event of this caliber to regional Victoria. These are the types of experiences you’d traditionally only be able to access in metro cities, however we understand and value the importance of local communities. Having these magnificent partners on board together with support from Baw Baw Shire Council means we can offer a free experience people can share in together.”

Quotes attributable to Toyota Regional Marketing Manager Andre Palayan

“Supporting community events is part of Toyota’s DNA and the team at Warragul Toyota are incredibly proud to be supporting this event in Warragul.”

Quotes attributable to TAC Senior Road Safety Manager Samantha Cockfield

“Cinema Pop-Up is a new way for the TAC to get its road safety message into regional Victoria. Victorians are four times more likely to die on country roads so we're always looking for new ways to help country Victorians get home safely, every time they get behind the wheel."
