Construction delays for Circular Head Community Wellbeing Centre

The Wellbeing Centre construction program has been delayed.

In the past fortnight a problem has been identified in the supply of a component of the timber portals, which will need to be replaced.

Stubbs Constructions have been working with their suppliers to rectify the problems, which will involve unscrewing and replacing the plywood gussets on the framework. Before this can occur the new gussets need to be manufactured and delivered to site.

While it is disappointing that this has occurred, the good news is that the fault has been identified at this point where it is easier to rectify.

A further assessment will be made for the construction program timeline once work on the roof is complete.

Work continues on parts of the project not impacted by this delay, but with a reduced number of people on site until the replacement work commences.
