Media release – Redlands Healthy & Active program – Spring into Term 4!
Redland City Council 25 Sep 2018

Spring into action with another term of the Redlands Healthy & Active Program kicking off on Monday 8 October.

Redlands Healthy and Active sessions make the most of our naturally wonderful Redlands Coast locations, such as Victoria Point’s WH Yeo Park.

Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said Council’s popular group exercise program would again offer a diverse range of low-cost activities across Redlands Coast, primarily in our naturally wonderful outdoor spaces.

“This latest term follows great feedback about the positive impacts the program is having,” Cr Williams said.

“Many residents have already had the opportunity to try new activities and schedule regular exercise into their busy lives.

“We continue to see increasing participation, with about 1500 people across more than 20 different activities during Term 3.

“With many existing participants keen to continue on, I urge newcomers to book early to secure a place.

“A ten session pass (for the price of nine) will also be available for purchase at the first session or online.

“This term sees more weekly sessions for the popular activities of Zumba, line dancing and karate, and the introduction of our first water activity, aqua aerobics.

“Kids Multisport is also back by popular demand after a term off the schedule.

“Again, a broad range of activities inclusive of all abilities and experience is on offer – most with wet weather contingencies – with online registration through Team App.

“If you’re ready to move more and be active for life – or keen to continue on your journey – visit the Redland City Council website for this term’s full schedule and information on the range of weekly activities.”
