Road closures in September

Street markets and roadworks will cause road closures throughout Hobart during September. You can view the full list of road closures on the Temporary Road Closures page, but some of the notable closures include:

Collins Street, Hobart Collins Street between Victoria Street and Murray Street will be closed to traffic from 6 am to 6 pm on Sunday 30 September 2018. The road will be closed due to a crane lift.  Collins Street between Campbell Street and Sun Street will be closed to eastbound traffic from 7 am Saturday 13 January 2018 to 6 pm Thursday 29 August 2019 for building construction works. Aotea Road, Sandy Bay 

Aotea Road from Marlborough Street will be closed to traffic from 9 am to 4 pm on Friday 21 September 2018 for conducting a crane lift of precast concrete panels at 19 Aotea Road. 

Princes Street, Sandy Bay 

Princes Street between King Street and Queen Street will be closed to traffic from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday 23 September 2018 for conducting repairs to water and gas mains.

Sun Street, Hobart 

Sun Street between Sackville Street and Collins Street will be closed to traffic from 7 am to 4 pm daily from Monday 24 September to Wednesday 26 September 2018 for installing a scaffold and gantry. 

Argyle Street, Hobart

Argyle Street at the New Town Road intersection will be closed to city bound traffic from 9 am to 3 pm on Tuesday 25 September and Wednesday 26 September 2018 due to footpath repair works. 

Liverpool Street, Hobart

Liverpool Street between Criterion Street and Murray Street will be closed to traffic from 9 pm on Thursday 27 September to 6 am on Friday 28 September 2018 for crane works.

Regular closures

Bathurst Street (between Murray Street and Elizabeth Street) and Criterion Street are closed from 6 am - 3 pm every Sunday for the Farm Gate Market.

Salamanca Place is closed to traffic each Saturday from 5.30 am to 6 pm for the Salamanca Market. More information can be found here: Salamanca Market website
