Fire Danger Season dates announced for the 2022/23 Fire Season

The start and finish dates for the majority of the South Australian Fire Danger Districts have been announced by the SA Country Fire Service.

The Fire Danger Season commencement means restrictions in districts become legally enforceable.

"Now is the perfect time to prepare for the oncoming season and update your Bushfire Survival Plan,".

A list of 'What can I do/What can't I do?' during the Fire Danger Season, and information on how to create a Bushfire Survival Plan, is available at cfs.sa.gov.au

The confirmed seasons dates are as follows: Adelaide Metropolitan:  01 December 2022 to 30 April 2023 Eastern Eyre Peninsula: 01 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 Flinders: 01 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 Kangaroo Island: 01 December 2022 until  30 April 2023 Lower Eyre Peninsula: 15 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 Lower South East: 22 November 2022 until 30 April 2023 Mid North: 15 November 2022 until 30 April 2023 Mount Lofty Ranges: 01 December 2022 to 30 April 2023 Murraylands: 15 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 North East Pastoral: 01 November 2022 until 31 March 2023 North West Pastoral: 01 November 2022 until 31 March 2023 Riverland: 15 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 Upper South East: 15 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 West Coast: 01 November 2022 until 15 April 2023 Yorke Peninsula: 15 November 2022 until 30 April 2023
