Applications now open

Each year Alexandrina Council makes funds available under its Community Grants Program for local not-for-profit community, sporting, recreational, environmental and arts groups (and individuals), in the support of one-off projects.

Alexandrina Council values and recognises the role of community groups and organisations, and endeavours to financially support a range of projects and activities that are seen to enhance the quality of life, delivery of services and provision of facilities to the community. The purpose of these grants is to encourage groups to take a more active and visible role in the community and create opportunities for community participation.

Applications for the 2019-20 Community Grants Program can be made online in the following categories from 15 July 2019:

• Community Development Grant

• Community Environment Grant

• Connecting Communities through the Arts Grant

• Festivals and Events Grant

• Rural Initiatives Grant

• Local Heritage Incentive Grant

• Community Halls Capital Grant

• Recreational Capital Grant.

Information and guidelines for each grant category, Council’s ‘Community Grants Policy’ and a link to the online application forms will be available at www.alexandrina.sa.gov.au/grants from 15 July 2019.
