We are currently seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified and experienced person to sit on Council’s Assessment Panel (CAP). In accordance with the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016, the CAP consists of four Independent Members and one Council Member.

The CAP has the responsibility for determining a range of Development Applications, ensuring new development proposals are consistent with Council’s Development Plan.

Council is seeking applicants who have skills and qualifications in accordance with the draft Accredited Professionals Scheme (i.e. a person with relevant qualifications and a minimum of two years full time experience) and with the ability to become an Accredited Professional in accord with the aforementioned Scheme. Ideally you will have qualifications in one or more of the following areas;

Urban and Regional Planning Architecture and Design Landscape Architecture; and Environmental Management

The CAP meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 9.30am at the Council Chambers, Minlaton.

Council pays sitting fees for the Independent Members of CAP and reimburses travel costs.
