The ABS has published the 2016 Barkly Census Story, a living biography updated every five years. The results of the 2016 National Census are all in now, revealing who we are, where we live, what we do and where we're headed as a nation. The information gathered will inform planning and decision making for our future, like where we build schools, roads and hospitals. Census data also helps governments - local, state or territory and federal - where funding and services are needed for each community across Australia.
