Join the Green Army

Are you between 17 and 24, an Australian citizen or a permanent resident, would like to be paid an allowance whilst gaining skills, training and experience whilst making a difference to the environment in your local community?

The Green Army is an Australian Government initiative that allows young people to develop skills, undertake training and gain experience in the delivery of conservation.  The Green Army will provide all the tools, personal protection equipment and training required for each project.

To commence on 29 August, the Riverland project is a residential project within the Gluepot Reserve.  Team members will stay at the Reserve for 2 nights and 3 days for 20 weeks (Monday - Wednesday), all food is supplied.  There will a pick point in the Berri Barmera area and Waikerie.  Participants will also be paid a training allowance between $10-$16 per hour for 30 hours per week.

Participating in the project is a huge opportunity for anyone who wants to learn skills in the environmental industry including  weed mapping and treatment, pest management tasks, camera trap monitoring, bat surveys (mist netting and Anabat monitoring), mallee fowl surveys.
