Ipswich population racing towards 250,000 28 August 2020 Ipswich’s population is climbing towards a new milestone as steady growth continues across the city.The city gained an extra 7,005 residents in the past financial year, recording a 3.16 per cent increase and bringing the total population of Ipswich to 228,544.The statistics were released in Ipswich City Council’s Planning and Regulatory Services’ Annual Report Card.Mayor Teresa Harding said that the new figures came as no surprise, as a growing number of people start to recognise the lifestyle benefits of living in Ipswich.“Ipswich is one of the most liveable regions in Queensland.
