At the ordinary meeting of Council held on 27 June  2022 Council resolved to exhibit the Draft Contaminated Lands Policy.

The management of contaminated land is the responsibility of the Council or the EPA. Council’s must consider land contamination for every development application (DA). A Contaminated Land Policy helps Council to provide a considered approach to identifying potentially contaminated land, providing relevant information (to landholders, developers and purchasers), for assessing contamination and monitoring any remediation.

The Draft Policy will be publicly exhibited from Friday 5 August 2022 to Friday 2 September 2022 (inclusive).

The Draft Policy will be available on Council’s website and at the Council Administration Building during the exhibition period.

Written submissions marked “Submission – Draft Policy 7.10 – Contaminated Land Policy” must be received by Council no later than 4pm on Friday 2 September 2022.
