Proposed Closure of Thoroughfare – Salter Road, Boyanup

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 Section 3.5, the Shire of Capel advises it is considering a proposal to close a portion of Salter Road, Boyanup for a period of 10 years.

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate required infrastructure upgrades by the Boyanup Saleyard operator, Western Australia Livestock Salesmen’s Association and ensure ongoing safe operations by limiting vehicle access to the site. The closure will be in effect for the term of the lease of the reserve.

The Shire of Capel requests public comment to assist in determining the proposed closure.

Plans setting out the area affected by the closure may be inspected at the Council Offices, Forrest Road, Capel during office hours or the Shire website www.capel.wa.gov.au.
