ROAD CONDITION REPORT - 12/01/2022

All unsealed roads south of the Lachlan River have been closed to vehicles over three (3) tonne until 11.00am Thursday 13th January 2022, when the condition of the roads will be reviewed. Unless advised otherwise, roads will be reopened to all traffic after that time. School buses, Council road repair plant and Emergency Services are exempted, subject to normal risk assessment.

Please note that concessions are possible on request, for urgent transport activity on routes considered suitable to carry the proposed loading. Contact Lachlan Shire Council’s Infrastructure Services Department to discuss requirements for a concession.

Council regrets the inconvenience caused, however, the preservation of the road asset is of prime importance. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution when travelling in the wet weather.

Flooding events have caused numerous washouts. Damage has occurred in low lying areas and causeways. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution when travelling.

Road Closures (due to flooding):

Burcher Road (SR 1145) - CLOSED from Fitzgerald Road (SR 106) to Lachlan Shire LGA boundary Burcher Road (SR 1145) –CLOSED BETWEEN The Gipps Way (MR57) and Burcher Grassmere Road (SR 90) – CLOSED Clargo Road ( SR 102) – CLOSED Foster Lane (SR 108) - CLOSED

 Water over road – Passable with CAUTION:

The Gipps Way (MR 57S) – Water over road approx.30 kms out from Condobolin Weir Road (SR 426) – water over road at causeway 

Please avoid walking or driving through flood waters, it may be deeper and faster flowing than anticipated and/or the road may have suffered extensive damage hidden beneath the water.
