Public notice: Public health directions and changes to CHRC facilities

As 2022 begins, Central Highlands Regional Council will be making some operational changes to adhere to state and federal government public health directions. These changes are due to social distancing requirements for staff and mask mandates.

Customer service centre lunch closures

Lunch closure times for some of council’s customer service centres have been updated to better align with other businesses.

Capella 12.30 pm – 1.30 pmBlackwater 12.00 pm – 1.00 pmDuaringa 1.00 pm – 2.00 pmEmerald No lunch closure, will remain open for duration of business hoursSpringsure 1.00 pm – 2.00 pm

Lunch closure times to remain the same in the following towns:

Rolleston 12.30 pm – 1.00 pmTieri 1.00 pm – 2.00 pm

Mask requirements

Masks are required to be worn in all indoor CHRC facilities including customer service centres, libraries and art galleries.

Vaccination requirements

From Friday 17 December 2021, the Queensland Health directions regarding vaccination requirements to enter some businesses, venues and events came into effect. Read the full media release here for information on vaccination requirements at council’s facilities.
