Far West Blue-Green Algal Reports are based on samples collected by various councils; Moree Plains, Walgett, Brewarrina, Bourke and Central Darling Shire Councils and Water NSW – Barwon River, Darling River at Wilcannia and Louth are on Amber Alert and Namoi River at Walgett and the Darling River at Bourke are on Green Alert – Update Friday 9 March 2022

Hume Dam remains on red alert due to persistent and elevated growth rates of surface-dwelling cyanobacteria species.
