Magic Music and Decomposition Detectives | 1 October

Fremantle PCYC

Freo Toy Library has teamed up with Ace Connect to host a day of free workshops at Fremantle PCYC! Kicking things off from 10.30–11.30am is Magic Music, where kids aged 4–7 will explore the magic of sound and create their very own musical instruments. For older kids aged 8–12, don’t miss Decomposition Detectives from 12.30–2pm. Kids will investigate the world of transformations in nature in this forensic experience with a creative twist! BEEP! TOOT! HONK! Adventure Trail | 4–10 October

Fremantle

The streets of Freo will be filled with the sounds of happy kids beeping, tooting and honking their way around! Kids can hop on and off monster truck and big wheels bouncy castles, ride on a vintage kids’ fire truck, take a selfie with a giant MONSTER TRUCK, have a go on a retro car merry go round and get up close to a real police car. Be sure to collect the four codewords along the way to enter a competition to win great prize vouchers from Toyworld Fremantle. BEEP! TOOT! HONK! Adventure Trail is a free ticketed event for kids 2–12 years, with bookings essential.

Family Fun day at PCYC | 5 October

Fremantle PCYC

Fremantle PCYC’s annual Family Fun Day is back on Tuesday 5 October from 12–3pm with plenty of fun to be had! Monsterball Amusements will be coming to the party with an inflatable obstacle course, sumo suits and a large gladiator arena recommended for kids 10+. Freo Toy Library will be bringing out assorted toys and arts and craft stations, while Born to Sparkle will be offering free face painting. There will also be a free sausage sizzle available on the day, while supplies last!

Buster 35th Birthday Party | 6 October

Fremantle Arts Centre

Hip, hip, hooray! A beloved friend to Fremantle children and parents alike, Buster is celebrating 35 years of service in the community. Join us for a free community event in the front garden at Fremantle Arts Centre on Wednesday 6 October from 10am–2pm to celebrate. There will be toys, face painting, arts and crafts, fairy floss and popcorn, Magic Dale the Magician, a treasure hunt with prizes, a birthday cake and more! Plus, the first 100 adults who used to attend Buster will receive a special gift.

Kids Community Canvas | 7 October

Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre

If you haven’t explored what’s on offer at Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre, now’s the time! The cultural centre hosts a regular calendar of workshops and classes to share Nyoongar culture, including walking tours to discover Walyalup (Fremantle), art workshops such as weaving and dot painting and Nyoongar language classes. For the school holidays, the cultural centre will be hosting a special kids community canvas workshop on Thursday 7 October from 11am–12pm. Join in with your kids to help create a large-scale community canvas, while learning the art of dot painting thanks to Nyoongar artist Julianne Wade. Click here to book a spot for this free workshop.
