Notice of Special Meeting of Electors

A petition has been lodged requesting the President hold a Special Electors’ Meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss:
‘Management of the chronic mosquito problem affecting ratepayers in Stratham and other localities in the Shire of Capel.
Level of action by the Shire on this problem.
Shire attention appears confined to public health concerns with no consideration of lifestyle impacts.
Communication from the Shire is inadequate, and mosquito monitoring data collected by the Shire and Department of Health should be shared with the community.’
The Shire and the Department of Health will present mosquito management information at the meeting, more information will be provided prior to the meeting.
