The generosity of the Campbelltown community and business is once again on display after $57,000 was raised to build a new inclusive playground at Mary Brooksbank School in Rosemeadow as part of the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner.

While the event itself has been cancelled due to COVID-19, sponsors have committed to donating the funds to ensure that this project can still proceed, despite the cancellation of the event.

Mary Brooksbank School provides a supportive environment and vital education for children with special needs from Kindergarten to Year 12.

“It’s so important for their development that kids have the opportunity to play in a comfortable environment that caters for their sensory and other needs,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“I’d like to extend my sincerest thanks to our sponsors for their generosity and community spirit. Many of our sponsors have been supporting the charity event for many years and do so because of their genuine commitment to the Campbelltown community.” Cr Brticevic said.

“Given the current uncertainty with the COVID situation, it’s incredibly heart-warming to see our business community step up to support a cause like this and bring joy to the children and families of Mary Brooksbank School,” he said.
