An opportunity to get out in nature and build your community. This workshop is designed to build our community's skills in native revegetation. Our instructors will teach you techniques to prepare, transplant, and establish young plants and set them up to thrive in the creek environment. All levels of experience are welcome. Special guests from Haas & Gray, volunteers who have made a career in conservation, and a Climate Change Adaptation specialist, will chat to us about how to stay safe while volunteering and how volunteering can be a pathway to further your career and work goals.

All our events are social occasions, a great chance to get to know fellow community members and learn a new, transferable skill while connecting with the beautiful creek environment.

This workshop is being conducted in preparation for a National Tree Day Planting event, at which we hope to plant lots of indigenous plants to revegetate our creek. As a participant in the Creek Planting Workshop, we hope you may also like to consider assisting volunteers at the FOKC National Tree Day event in August and beyond!
