This workshop is for parents and carers to help think through the impacts of climate change on their children, manage that knowledge themselves, and build skills to support children to cope with climate change now and in the future.

Join psychologist and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Queensland, Dr Susie Burke, as she helps parents and carers:

Think through how they, as parents, can respond to the current reality of climate change and the threat of worse impacts to come. Learn strategies for coping with the ‘uncomfortable truths’ of climate change. Gather ideas about how to support their children to cope with it. Learn about the skills and capacities that our children, the next generation, will need for engaging in efforts to restore a safe climate, and for adapting to the inevitable changes ahead.

Wednesday 24 March, 12:00pm – 1:30pm
